A5. Visitor impact assessment

The purpose of this action is to undertake a visitor impact assessment in order to ensure the effective implementation of visitor management actions. Tourism is considered a serious threat to the coastal dune Juniperus spp 2250* habitat throughout Greece (see Threats). Consequently, visitor impact assessment is necessary in order to design and appropriately define habitat restoration specifications (action A.8), and the various visitor management interventions, concrete conservation actions (C.1, C.2, C.6 and C.7). Additionally, the information from the questionnaires on the visitors themselves and levels of awareness will enable to target appropriately the content and dissemination of information material
