Falassarna
Adjacent to the famous beach of Falasarna located on the west coast of Crete, municipality of Kissamos, one can fin the remnants of a coastal dune with juniperus spp. The 2250* habitat is a narrow zone at Falasarna between the coastal dunes and the neighbouring shrublands, covered an area of 2.6 Ha. Dominant species is Juniperus oxycedrus ssp. macrocarpa. The population consists of 30-40 individuals only and can be considered as critical low.
