E.5: Stakeholder Committee

The purpose of this action is to establish a stakeholder committee which will assist the project by providing the necessary support and commitment as well as information to overcome external, political, administrative, and management issues that may arise. The stakeholder committee will be comprised by elected members from Crete and the South Aegean and relevant local authority officers. In addition the project manager (chair), the Director (or his officially appointed stand-in) representatives from the Natural Environment Department, Ministry of Environment, Physical Planning and Public Works, the official representative of the General Secretariat of Forests and Natural Environment, Ministry of Agriculture will be invited.
The nomination of the stakeholder committee will be implemented by the project manager at the onset of the project. The foreseen official meetings of this committee will take place 4 times throughout the duration of the project. Secretarial services will be provided as needed and charged on overheads.
